The Yamaha Corporation named Francis Cathlina (DMA ’21), Kyle Hutchins, (BM '11) and Amrutha Murthy (BM ’22) to its 2026 40 Under 40. Dr. Cathlina is Director of Choral Activities for the University of Memphis, Dr. Hutchins is Assistant Professor of Practice in Saxophone at Virginia Tech while Ms. Murthy is band director at Park Vista Community High School in Lake Worth, Florida. According to Yamaha, these list members showcase action, courage, creativity and growth.
